Why should I choose a RICS Professional?
The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is an industry-leading body for property professionals. By appointing a RICS surveyor or registered valuer, you know that the service you are receiving reaches an accepted international standard, follows a strict code of conduct and that they are trained to the latest industry requirements.
Will a RICS surveyor be able to inspect any property?
A RICS surveyor will be qualified to inspect a wide range of properties, of any age or style. However, at Chiltern Associates we will always ensure you are working with a surveyor with professional experience in the type of property you are buying – whether that’s a listed building, commercial premises or brand-new apartment. We believe that our knowledge of the local area and property stock enables us to deliver an exceptional service to every client.
What is contained within a RICS report?
The precise contents of your report will depend on the type of survey you have chosen. Every RICS report is designed to be easy for buyers to follow, with features like a traffic-light grading system to help you understand the severity of any defects found. Your surveyor will also be happy to provide any clarification needed once you have received your report, and inform you whether further investigation needs to be made into any of the defects. If you are unsure about which survey is right for your home, call us on 07973 306505 to discuss your requirements.
